JAPANESE GUNS N' ROSES RETURN WITH A BANG.

At 9 o'clock in the morning,the queue outside the 50000 seater Tokyo Dome
baseball stadium already stretches for a good half a mile.And that's just
the line for X JAPAN merchandise.By 6pm,these people--decked out in enormous
red wigs,bright green PVC suits and black face masks--will have filled the stadium,
waiting for the first show by X JAPAN in a dacade.
X JAPAN are one of these bands who couldn't play anywhere
other than enormodomes,such is the sheer enormity of their music,a mix of
Nightwish pomp,Guns N' Roses attitude and Bon Jovi crowd pleasing.There
are three ego ramps for Toshimitsu Deyama to run down,and,indeed,for drummer
and band leader Yoshiki Hayashi to cruise down in his moviing drum kit
during his gobsmacking solo'backed by classical music.It's bizarre,
and wonderful thing to see.
