うまくいかないのがリフレクションのところだったら、以下でいけるはず。
PagerTitleStrip strip = ...;
try {
　Field mCurrTextField = PagerTitleStrip.class.getDeclaredField("mCurrText");
　mCurrTextField.setAccessible(true);
　TextView mCurrText = (TextView)mCurrTextField.get(strip);
　// ごにょごにょ
} catch (NoSuchFieldException ex) {
} catch (IllegalAccessException ex) {
}

ただ、ProGuardかけてる場合はめんどくさいかも。
フィールド名が変わってしまわないように、-keep付けないといけなくなる。

よく考えたら、addViewされてるんだから、以下でいいはず。
