BOOL namae (
HWND hwnd,
UINT Vkey,
UINT *pStartBuffer)

と宣言されている関数を C# から使いたいのですが

[DllImport.....略]
private static extern bool namae (IntPtr hWnd, uint Vkey, ref uint pStartBuffer);

と宣言し、

bool bRet = namae(hWnd, 0, ref strBuf);

と書いたいのですが、ref または out 引数は左辺値でなければなりません。

とコンパイルできません。

どこが間違っているのか教えてもらえませんか？
