ファイルからの入力はFileInputStreamを使って、
キーボードからの入力はSystem.in(実体はInputStream)を使う
ということではない？

つまり、main()で全部やるんじゃなくて、

　　bufferedInputStream = new BufferedInputStream(is);

　　System.out.println(hoge.readUpperCasedLine());
　}
}

とかやって、InputStreamを渡せるようにしろということでは。
コードは適当なので作るときはちゃんと考えてね。
