As for this incorrect and biased editing, the very Taiwanese interviewees protested directly to NHK. But NHK has made no reply at all.
4. “HUMAN ZOO”???
NHK mentioned that, at the Japan-British Exhibition 1910, Japan exhibited Paiwan People, a native tribe in Taiwan, as if they had been animals in a zoo.
But, in fact, Japan just presented customs, dances, ways of hunting and so on. And the Paiwan people received rewards.
And, the term “HUMAN ZOO” is merely the word which Pascal Blancherd, a French professor, used after the Second World War.
