TAIWANESE & JAPANESE; TRANPLED UNDERFOOT BY JAPAN BROADCASTING
In 1895, according to The Treaty of Shimonoseki, sovereignty of Taiwan was transferred to Japan from Qing Empire of China. The sovereignty of Japan continued until August 15, 1945.
On April 5, 2009, with regard to the Japanese sovereignty over Taiwan; NHK (Nihon Housou Kyoukai: Japan Broadcasting Corporation) broadcasted incorrect documentary program, distorted the facts of Taiwan under Japanese sovereignty.
Here are the broadcasted facts which we pointed to as “fabricated.”
1. “Japan-Taiwan War” broke out in 1895???
Many knowledgeable people, many Japanese, and many Taiwanese were taken aback to see NHK use the term NEVER found in any history books or articles.
