NHK should be fair and balanced!

Mal-editing of the interview should be corrected!

An old Taiwanese gentleman was interviewed by NHK on the Japanese rule period.
He said a lot of good things as well as bad things. But when broadcasting,
his words were miserably cut and pasted and his saying was changed from
what he wanted to. He said his interview was mal-edited by NHK.

Correct wrong caption on human zoos!

NHK said that the exhibition of Taiwanese native people were called ’human
zoo’at the exhibition in London, and the people were treated like animals.
But the fact is different, and even the term ‘human zoo’ had not been used
until French human rights activists dubbed the term very recently.

In general, the documentary seemed to be presented under the view of
Republic China’s history stance. Unjustified terms like Japanese-Taiwan War,
overly biased explanation on language spoken in Taiwan on pre-colonial era, etc.
Many details were carefully edited for China’s favor.

So why we protest?
Are we imperialist who wants to expand Japanese soil?
We are NOT!

We are pro-democratic ordinary people who worry independence of broadcasting
in our country.
What if some other country gives an influence on the contents of the documentary
for downplaying friendship between Taiwan and Japan?
What if those influence lead Taiwan to non-democratic society?
And what if there is any aim to control our country, and what if the media control
is against freedom and democracy in Japan?
Actually the demonstrations held before were never reported on major Japanese
news papers despite over 1000 people participations which you might not
imagine such a thing occur in Japan. Why on earth such neglect by all of the
media happened.

Is NHK under Republic China’s control?
NHK should clarify the question.

The reaction from NHK to our protest is so far unbelievable terrible_
Their rejection against holding open hearings, pointless answers to the
open letter from LDP diet members, blunt attitude to the question from
many viewers and so on.
