　　　　Tenzin Gyatso was enthroned as the 14th Dalai Lama at the Potala Palace
　　　　after receiving the necessary certificates and seals of approval
　　　　from the Chinese Nationalist government of Chiang Kai-shek,
　　　　which in fact allocated 400,000 silver dollars
　　　　to cover the expenses of the enthronement ceremony.
