University of Tokyo on Dec. 24, 2004 announced punishment of two professors for sexual harassment.

One professor had already retired.
The other professor in his 50's of ??? Dept was suspended for two months for sexual harassment against a female student.
Both men admit to the facts of the cases, but assert that their "conduct did not constitute sexual harassment."

According to University of Tokyo, the professor of ??? Dept repeatedly demanded to a student whom he was advising that she accompany him to overseas trips.
As a result, the student was unable to eat or sleep due to mental stress.
