homebrewでいくつかソフトをいれ、homebrewからではなくemacsを別にいれた
のですが、brew doctorをすると次の警告がでます。usr/local/varの所有者
をかえろということなのですが、変えることがどういう意味をもって
いるのでしょう？usr/local/varにはemacsをインストールしたときに入った
gamesというフォルダができていました。たしかに、インストールのときには
sudoを使いました。それからchownでかえるとすればどのように
かえればいいのでしょうか？

This can happen if you "sudo make install" software that isn't managed by
by Homebrew. If a formula tries to write a file to this directory, the
install will fail during the link step.

You should probably `chown` /usr/local/var
