- G5 delivery : it is on the way... - Yoc

According to one of our sources, the first dual G5 will leave
Apple Production Plant (Cork, Ireland) as early as next week.
The estimated shipping date on the Apple Store is 4-6 weeks,
but the delay accumulated (due to huge pre-order) should be
solved by middle September.

Concerning the 1.6 and 1.8 GHz G5, the current estimated
delivery date is now 8-10 days!!! And after asking our source,
the delay due to pre-order volume should be solved by next
week!

This is definitely an excellent news, and the G5 is finally getting
a bit more than just a wish.

The ideal situation will be that Apple delivers enough G5
computers to the resellers before Paris Apple Expo (at least for
the 1.6 and 1.8GHz model). Imagine, if you fall in love with a G5
and that you are able to leave the Expo with your new lovely G5
computer box in your arms...
