codecなんて、どうせプラグインでしょ（あるいは、プラグインで別途
配布ってのができるはず）。それを、あえてせずQT6自体の出荷を控える
という行為は、我々ユーザに立ち上がってほしいという意味合いが込めら
れてるんじゃないかと勘ぐってしまいます。いや、悪いことだとは思わない
んだけど。

We are all waiting for the release of QuickTime 6 with the MPEG-4
codec. We believe that MPEG-4 is a wonderful technology that deserves
to be the next generation standard. However, we feel the same way
that Apple Inc. does: content providers should not be obliged to pay a
per-hour streaming license fee. Please reassess your licensing
strategies so that we can start using QuickTime 6, and the great
standard called MPEG-4, as soon as possible. We are ready to support
and advocate the codec if you are ready to support our efforts.
