forkが近いことが示唆されていたのでもうそろそろだろう。

不安ならば -ac を使えばいい。今は -ac が STABLE だ。

2.4.14 の patch を 2.4.13 の kernel tree に当てたんだけど、
/usr/src/linux-2.4.14/arch/i386/lib
辺りの compile に入ったところで error →中断。で。linux-2.4.14.tar.bz2
から新たに展開した kernel tree だと……大丈夫なんだなこれが（現在差し
替えも終わり順調に稼働中）。時々 patch が上手く当たらんのがねぇ……最
近はなかったんだけど。

PHP4のインストールをしようとしているんですが、rpmのバージョンアップをしろといわれてしかなたくrpmのバージョンアップをしようとしています。環境はTLJ6.0で、Pentium 166MHzです。

現在は3.0.3なんですが、これを3.0.4以上にしなければなりません。
でも

#rpm --rebuild rpm-3.0.6-15.src.rpm
の実行中に

/usr/include/bits/string2.h:XXX warning : pointer of type 'void *' used in arithmetic

といった種類のメッセージがダぁーっと出てきます。それでも処理はずっと続いて３分くらいしたらとまるんですが、非常に不安です。このとき実は渡さなければならなかった引数とかありますか？

わかんないんでしょうがなくある方に教えていただいて

rpm -Uvh rpm-3.0.6-15.i386.rpm

を実行しました。
そしたらこんな表示が・・・・

libpopt.so.0 is needed by rpm-3.0.6-15

どないなってまんねん？？？

i?86のところの*は環境によって違うということですが、それは具体的にどういう意味ですか？

ほんとにタコタコで申し訳ありません。どうかこの哀れなタコを助けてください。*_*

それからも一つ質問！
どうしてこんなにリナックスは難しいんですか？

Release 1.0.9 of JFS was made available today.

Drop 47 on November 9, 2001 (jfs-2.4-1.0.9-patch.tar.gz
and jfsutils-1.0.9.tar.gz) includes fixes to the file system
and utilities.

Function and Fixes in release 1.0.9

- don't print heartbeat if fsck.jfs output is redirected
- make mkfs.jfs options conform to mkfs, clean up parse code
- fix typo in mkfs.jfs man_html page
- allow xpeek to show us directory xtrees
- fix fsck.jfs infinite loop on big endian hardware (jitterbug 182)
- fix infinite loop when endian swapping bad directory tree page
- Fix data corruption problem when creating files while deleting
others. (jitterbug 183)
- Make sure all metadata is written before finalizing the log
- Fix serialization problem in shutdown by setting i_size of directory
sooner. (bugzilla # 334)
- JFS should quit whining when special files are marked dirty during
read-only mount.
- Must always check rc after DT_GETPAGE
- Add diExtendFS
- Removing defconfig from JFS source - not really needed
