Franz Welser-Möst Conducts Wagner and Bruckner

Esa-Pekka Salonen has also regretfully been forced to cancel the Vienna Philharmonic
Concert for the Society of Friends of Music on October 19, 2010. We are thankful
that the Music Director of the Vienna Staate Opera, Franz Welser-Möst, has agreed
to conduct this concert. The program will now feature Wagner's Prelude and Liebestod
from "Tristan und Isolde" and Bruckner's Symphony No. 9 in D minor.


Franz Welser-Möst will also conduct this program in Tokyo as a part of
the Vienna Philharmonic Week in Japan.
