今日の鳥紙もムーティー絶賛しているな。
昨日の紙面でみるかぎり、オケ側はムーティーに惚れたようである。
特に面白かった部分、以下抜粋。
歌うＣＳＯになっていた理由がよくわかる。

In his warm southern-Italian baritone, Muti sang passages from the music
to illustrate how he wished them to be played (the man is, after all,
one of the great opera conductors). They applauded his singing of
a particularly tricky phrase. They found him hysterically funny,
whether imitating an abusive conductor or showing how a
Viennese waltz can be mauled beyond recognition.

"The whole world knows you are the most powerful orchestra,"
Muti told them. "Now let's show them you can play softer than
anyone else as well." In the opening bars of Falla's "Three-Cornered Hat" Suite,
 he stopped to gentlyupbraid them. "You sound like you just had lunch,"
he chided. "The Spanish are supposed to be lazy, but not that lazy!
You need to be much sweeter."
