口語訳：　河馬を見よ、

NIV: Look at the behemoth (possibly the hippopotamus or the elephant),
NASB: Behold now, Behemoth (or the hippopotamus),
KJV: Behold now behemoth,
NLT: Take a look at the mighty hippopotamus ([Heb] the behemoth).

これも、日本語訳だけの問題ではないようだ。いずれにせよ、ここでは「behemoth」を
架空の（悪魔的な）動物と捉える必要は必ずしもない。河馬などの現実の動物と読んで
一向に差し支えない箇所だ。

同様の例でさらに複雑なのは、異なる意味が少なくとも二つある「レビヤタン」の訳語だ。
ヨブ3:8、ヨブ41:1、詩編7:14、詩編104:26、イザヤ27:1 に出てくる。
