パドレスに18歳の日本人投手

The San Diego Padres today announced the signing of 18-year-old left-handed pitcher Nobuaki Yoshida of Sendai＠｀ Japan. Senior Vice President/General Manager Kevin Towers made the announcement. Terms were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-1＠｀ 170-pound Yoshida will graduate from Sendai Technical High School in March prior to reporting to the Padres・Extended Spring Training camp in Peoria＠｀ AZ in April. He is expected to make his professional debut in the Arizona Rookie League this summer.
