「Nexus Player プロジェクター」では情報が得られなかったので
似た製品であるFireTVならば？、と「FireTV プロジェクター」で検索してみた
結論で言うとHDMI接続のプロジェクターならFireTVは出力できる

つまりNexus PlayerやFireTVとTVの間で
HDCPというコピーガード信号のやりとりをしていて
それがVGA出力できない原因かもしれない

もしかしたら前述のTSdrena HDMIコンバーターなら
出力できるかも知れないが自己責任で
